Well, I still have the finger-in-the-light-socket hair ... It's just all the same length now. It does look a little better, but I am anxious for a bit more hair. I know I have a decent wait ahead of me, too. My hair is ... disinclined. I would post a pic, but we only take pictures of Zach now.
Our house is finally on the market and our fancy marketing web site is up (I know I promised to post a link, but then again I thought that it's probably not a good idea to post my address on the internet. If you'd like a link emailed to you privately, please email me). Our first open house was Sunday and our realtor said it was a success. She's shown the house several times since and says that our house is really "popular." I am trying not to get too excited, but it is pretty exciting.
During the last week, I've been suffering some fatigue and nausea ... One day I slept from 3pm - 7am the next morning. The nurse practitioner thinks it's probably more fallout from the drugs. Like, it could be the steroids disappearing from my system or it could be that less steroids in my system is effecting the diabetes by putting less stress on my pancreas. To test this theory, I've been taken off the diabetes medication (Glipizide and Metaformin).
I do want to pass along that the doctors and nurses all agree that I am doing really well. Again, the important thing is that the graft is taking ...
cheers,
Katie

Good to see you back up on the blog Katie! Love the pics of Zac, and again, the house looks AMAZING! I'd think you would have no problem getting good offers...
I'll be up in SF next weekend, so hope to see you then! In the meantime, despite the bumps in the road (which I can only imagine must be a frustrating bummer) I'm SOOO glad to hear that the overall prognosis and process is going well. That is AWESOME news!!!
Keep on rockin' in the free world...

The house does look amazing all gussied up for sale. You did warn me that it was a little weird to see it this way, and it is. Does it help you guys separate from it?
Might be a sign of progress that y'all can shift the photographic lense back to Zach obsession. You know, where most parents who aren't having a life changing year would train their camera. It's like a sign of a return to some "normalcy." Just a thought.
Sorry you've been feeling drag-ass lately, but am ecstatic to hear that the medical professionals think you're doing so well.
Hope to stop playing phone tag and get to have actual plans, soon.
much love to all of you there,
Shona

Dear Katie,
Is your hair growing back the same texture that you had before? I've heard that some people got curly or straight or whatever but different than it was.
I am so excited that you sold your house and got the price that you needed and am hoping that ever yhting goes through just fine. And that Zach got inn Sheep School and he can go there until 8th grade. that is so great. I've been racking my emeory bank as to the house areas that you are looking and I just cannot place them. I spent most of my time at Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and China Town. What a tourist!!!
Iwnet to an Alanon Confernece today in Tulsa with a friend and it was great and inspiring as usual. I always take home some gems of wisdom that help me cope in the future. Things that I tuck away for just the right moment. Working the Alanon program helped me stop the panic attacks for the most part and make much better decisions and life is just more satisfying and serene and meaningful. so much better than living from one panic atack to the next. I am ever so grateful for what ever bad things happened to me to get me through the doors of Alanon.
Well, got to go and do some things before bed. Take care and lots of love and hugs.

Katie,
I'm relieved to hear the graft worked and things are looking positive. Why did you decide to sell your house. Perhaps I missed a previous post on the topic, but when I checked in today, I was surprised.
Thinking about you.
